The following steps provide an overview of the hardware installation. You can refer to the DeviceMaster Installation and Configuration Guide (Rev F) for detailed hardware installation procedures for your model.

Record the MAC address, model number, and serial number of the DM-2000 series.
Mount the DM-2000 series on a DIN rail.
Connect the DM-2000 series to the same Ethernet network segment as the host PC using a standard network cable.
Apply power to the DM-2000 series.
- Power adapter: Connect the AC power adapter to the DM-2000 series, the appropriate power cord for your location to the power adapter, and plug the power cord into a power source.
- Power cord: Connect the appropriate power cord for your location to the DM-2000 series and then connect it to a power source.

Verify that the Status LED has completed the boot cycle and network connection for the DM-2000 series is functioning properly using the following table.

If lit, the Status LED indicates the DM-2000 series has power and completed the boot cycle.

The Status LED flashes while booting and it takes approximately 15 seconds for the Bootloader to complete the cycle. When the Bootloader completes the cycle, the LED has a solid, steady light that blinks approximately every 10 seconds.

Link/Act

LNK ACT (UP/DOWN)

If the Link/Act or LNK ACT LED is lit, it indicates a working Ethernet connection.

Configure the DeviceMaster RTS IP address.
