Please note that the DeviceMaster MOD is another member of the DeviceMaster Industrial Gateway, which includes

If you are not familiar with installing the DeviceMaster MOD, you can use the following overview or refer to the
appropriate User Guide. Install the hardware.

Install PortVision DX so that you can easily
configure the network information.

If you have previously installed
PortVision DX you may want to verify that you are running the latest version. PortVision DX is continuously updated with new
features and added support for the latest hardware model releases. |

Verify that the
latest version of firmware is loaded.

The DeviceMaster MOD is loaded with Modbus Router by default unless
ordered with Modbus Server or Modbus/TCP. Optionally, you may need to load the
appropiate version of Modbus
for your application. |

Refer to the interface programming information and if available, the sample PLC programs for your Modbus protocol.

Configure the DeviceMaster MOD port characteristics for your environment using the embedded web pages on the DeviceMaster MOD.
There are two ways that you can access the embedded web page:
Open PortVision DX, right-click on the appropriate DeviceMaster MOD unit and select
Webpage. Open your web browser and enter the IP address of the DeviceMaster MOD.
