Legacy DeviceMaster Firmware Files

The DeviceMaster has Bootloader, which controls the boot-up process and SocketServer loaded on the DeviceMaster from the factory. DeviceMaster includes the following models:

  • DeviceMaster PRO

  • DeviceMaster RTS

  • DeviceMaster Serial Hub

SocketServer

SocketServer is the default application that runs on the DeviceMaster and is for use with the NS-Link device drivers and applications that support Winsock connections, for telnet type connections, and for Serial Tunneling. You can use SocketServer to configure DeviceMaster ports for TCP/IP socket access from the other hosts or for serial tunneling.

You can use PortVision Plus to check the SocketServer version and upload SocketServer. If you do not want to use PortVision Plus to update SocketServer, you can use RedBoot. Refer to Uploading Firmware in the RedBoot Procedures section of the DeviceMaster Installation and Configuration Guide.

You can unzip this file and open the ssvr_help.htm file to view SocketServer documentation.
