If you are using the RocketPort/RocketModem driver with the RocketPort Plus,
RocketPort Universal PCI Plus, or RocketPort Universal PCI Plus/422 series
you may experience a problem using ppp. Once the ppp session is established, 
sending a block of data larger than 10K causes the upload to fail. This was 
tested with FTP, ssh, and HTTP protocols. 

The only current resolution is to switch to a RocketPort card that is not a Plus.
